P4C in schools Kansai-Japan Event meeting No. 10

The effectiveness of P4C in moral classes is drawing attention. Why don’t you experience P4C using the textbook of the subject of “Moral Education” online and think about its possibilities and challenges together?

●Place: Zoom

●Presenter: Takahiro Machida, teacher at Adachi public elementary school in Tokyo

●Theme: Moral classes incorporating philosophica dialogue

●Contents: 　I will talk mainly about class records of philosophical dialogues with children for about two years. I will introduce with the words of children “the significance of listening to the opinions of others”, “what it means to think deeply”, and “what kind of changes we have experienced through philosophical dialogue”. Also, on the day of the event, I would like to incorporate a mock class and have a dialogue with the participants. Please join us.
